WHO WE ARE
Starting with access to food and nutrition, Plein de Vie supports initiatives that help children and young people grow, learn and thrive.
We need your help to raise US$ 45,000 to build a new Mobile Montessori school for children aged 3–6, which will be our fifth early learning school serving Namunyak Community Conservancy. The target budget covers teacher salaries, transport, and training, startup materials, daily porridge for children, and security, as well as clothing support, toys, and games for young learners.
Our mission is to ensure that children and young people gain access to food and nutrition — the foundation for learning, health, and future opportunity. Through partnerships with trusted local organizations across East Africa, Plein de Vie supports initiatives that strengthen stability and create the conditions where young lives can grow and thrive.
Starting in Burundi, where the need is significant and where the founder has his roots, our work focuses on improving access to nutrition, supporting education, and promoting healthy development for children and young people.
Plein de Vie works through carefully selected local organizations that operate directly within the communities they serve. These partners implement initiatives focused on improving access to food and nutrition, strengthening educational opportunities, and supporting the healthy development of children and young people.
Local partners implement initiatives directly within the communities they serve, while Plein de Vie provides structure, oversight, and accountability. Through documentation, local monitoring, and regular visits to supported areas, we ensure that resources are used responsibly and create meaningful impact.

THE FOUNDATION OF OUR WORK
Plein de Vie means “full of life.” It reflects a simple belief: that every child and young person, regardless of where they are born, deserves the chance to grow, dream and build a future. But before education, before health, before opportunity – there must be nourishment.
Access to food and proper nutrition is the foundation upon which everything else is built. A child who eats can concentrate. A young person who is properly nourished can learn, stay healthy and develop the confidence to believe in a future.
Without stable nutrition, learning becomes difficult, health declines and potential remains unrealized. When this foundation is strengthened, stability begins to emerge – and stability creates opportunity.
Plein de Vie exists because food is where everything begins. It also reflects a deeper responsibility – that success should create opportunities beyond itself. As an African founder who grew up in the Nordics, the initiative represents a personal commitment to give back in a meaningful, structured and respectful way.
By strengthening access to food and nutrition, we help create the stability that allows education, health and long-term development to take root. When basic needs are met, children and young people gain the foundation they need to grow, learn and pursue their dreams.
